Enaxiom partners with GreenSwans to Introduce TMCAqua Technology to Australia

Enaxiom, is thrilled to announce its partnership with GreenSwans, a company known for its commitment to sustainability and ground-breaking technologies in the USA. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as Enaxiom becomes the first distributor of GreenSwans' revolutionary TMCAqua (Transport Membrane Condenser) technology in Australia.

Unveiling TMCAqua: Transforming Waste Exhaust Into Valuable Resources

TMCAqua is a cutting-edge technology designed to recover enthalpy (latent and sensible heat) and water from waste exhaust stacks, particularly in applications where traditional heat exchangers struggle to operate efficiently below 121°C. This ground-breaking solution is poised to revolutionise applications ranging from combustion stacks to spray dryers, process dryers, and steam process stacks in industries ranging from Chemical, Food, CPG, Pharma, O&G to power generation and district heating.

How It Works

At the heart of TMCAqua's success is its patented nano-ceramic coating applied to hollow fiber ceramic tubes. Placed within hot and humid gas streams, the technology condenses moisture through capillary condensation and filters it through the membrane, producing clean, hot water at 76°c. This recovered water can be directly reused in industrial processes, significantly enhancing energy efficiency.

This single device performs 3 functions:

Technical Excellence and Planetary Benefits

TMCAqua not only provides water and energy sustainability but also delivers substantial environmental and economic benefits. In a 1000 HP gas-fired boiler, for example, TMCAqua can yield impressive results, delivering 1.4 million gallons of water per year, saving 16,000 MCF of natural gas annually, improving boiler efficiency by up to 15%, and reducing carbon emissions by 1,000 tons per year.

The technology's versatility extends to industrial drying processes, such as spray dryers, where the benefits can be 2-3 times higher than those observed in boiler applications.

Applications Across Industries

TMCAqua finds application in various industrial settings, including:

1. Commercial and Industrial Gas Package Boilers

In commercial applications within university and hospital systems and industrial applications in food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), chemical, and refining sectors, TMCAqua recovers clean hot water at 80°C, directly usable as boiler feedwater, improving boiler efficiency up to 95%.

2. Utility Gas Boiler and Combined Cycle – HRSG Systems

For utility boilers burning natural gas to produce steam and in combined cycle – HRSG systems, TMCAqua can enhance efficiency by recycling recovered hot water into makeup boiler feedwater.

3. Industrial Spray Dryers

In spray dryers used to produce powders from liquid or slurry feedstock, TMCAqua can recover up to 80% of water and energy from the high-moisture exhaust, contributing significantly to sustainability efforts.

4. Paper Drying Machine

In the paper-making process, TMCAqua can recover as much as 80% of water and enthalpy from the stack gases of paper drying machines.

Paving the Way for Sustainable Practices

In a world where water and energy are increasingly precious and limited, TMCAqua emerges as a game-changer. Enaxiom's partnership with GreenSwans aims to empower corporations to become better stewards of these resources, simultaneously enhancing their bottom lines. Chetan Chothani, GreenSwan’s Founding CEO, expresses enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the positive impact TMCAqua can have on sustainability and corporate responsibility.

As Enaxiom takes the lead in introducing TMCAqua to Australia, the partnership promises a brighter, more sustainable future for industries embracing cutting-edge technology to drive positive environmental change. Enaxiom is also excited to test the coupling of TMCAqua to their HydroCool system to enable wastewater treatment from flue gas waste heat to become a reality.

Stay tuned as Enaxiom and GreenSwans join forces to revolutionize energy efficiency and resource utilization across the nation.
